SR-3iA
Collaborative robots have become a hot spot and trend in the development of industrial robots. After ABB launched a single-arm collaborative robot at the Tokyo International Robot Exhibition, collaborative robots have once again become the focus of global attention. However, FANUC's understanding is: Although collaborative robots are very popular, this does not mean that people's interest in other robots has diminished. On the contrary, people's interest in other robots is also increasing.
FANUC has not only enriched its small robot product types through the two SCARA robots launched this time: SR-3iA and SR-6iA, but also hopes to take the opportunity to enhance the competitiveness of FANUC robots in the small robot market. These two new SCARA robots will be first available in North America in the first quarter of 2018.
Nishant Jhaveri, manager of the small and SCARA robotics department of FANUC US branch, said: "SR-3iA has a load of 3kg, a working radius of 400mm, and a vertical stroke of 200mm; SR-6iA has a load of 6kg, a working radius of 650mm, and a vertical stroke. It is 210mm." He also emphasized one point: "The motion performance of FANUC's new SCARA robot is the best in its class."
These two extremely compact SCARA robots can provide high-speed and accurate picking, placement, assembly, testing/inspection and packaging for many industries including consumer electronics, auto parts, plastics, food/beverage and laboratories And other operating processes.
The new SCARA robot is equipped with the R-30iB Compact Plus controller. This latest FANUC controller is said to provide consistent intelligent control and reliability guarantees for all FANUC robots. This new type of controller integrates many high-tech technologies, such as: iR vision system, force sensor, conveyor tracking system, fieldbus control system, safety software package and other related software.
The iR teach pendant of the new robot configuration has a software interface that can be used to program the SR-3iA and SR-6iA through a tablet or PC, and it can also be accessed through a web browser.
Finally, introduce the performance characteristics of these two SCARA robots:
Good motion inertia can ensure that the robot has high flexibility in the processing of large workpieces.
The vertical stroke is as high as 210mm, which ensures that the robot can well realize the operation functions of assembly, packaging and handling.
The bottom outlet of the cable (optional) can not only protect the cable from damage, but also save floor space.
A brake unlock switch is installed on the robot arm, which can realize error correction and recovery functions.
The R-30iB Compact Plus controller has passed CE / NRTL certification and can be installed globally.
